Bina is a belly dance performer based in Westchester New York.

Bina has distinguished herself as one of the top bellydancers in the Tri-State area. A passionate and dedicated dance artist.

Bina’s mission is to share the elegance, integrity, culture, and beauty of Oriental Dance with the world. Her signature style is energetic, elegant and  playful. Known for her dynamic performances,  hip articulations , exceptional technicality, breathtaking fluidity and charismatic personality, Bina captivates audiences everywhere. Who admire her for her understanding ,effortless musicality, and unique and emotive interpretation of Arabic music and dance. 

BINA’S BIO

Bina has been interested in all types of world dance since her childhood. Her ancestors are descendants of  Almora, India. She has studied classical dances of India as well as dances of the Middle East .

Bina trained at Westchester Dance Academy for over 13 years. She has also trained in New York City with many prominent Middle Eastern dance teachers including Nourhan Sharif , Anahid Sofian, Dalia Carella, Azmara  

Performing for many celebrities including  Beyonce and John Leguizamo. Her creative drive led her to choreographing for stage and film productions including My Angel Angelica , Sang Harsh and Mad as the Mist and Snow . Enjoying collaborating with fellow  artists and dancers she performed with various troupes including Bellysimma , Bas Harem , Nadia Mousse Ensemble , Bellyqueen and the Rising Sirens .

Her desire to share the joy, mystery and beauty of the dance led to her  teaching at educational institutions , yoga centers and dance studios  where she is currently a professor of Middle Eastern Bellydance at Purchase College.

Featured on local and national television  she has appeared on Good Day New York, Something to Talk About and The Morning Show Live. Also performing to the Turkish chiftitelli rhythm on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Bina is a consummate belly dance performer. Always providing professional and inspiring belly dance entertainment, Bina’s shows include lavish costuming from Egypt and Turkey, authentic Arabic/Turkish/Middle Eastern music, and dazzling props such as wings of Isis, veils, finger cymbals, canes,  tray of candles, sword, tambourine and fan veils. She will prepare and customize music on her own device that can be played on your system or hers.

Bina is available to perform for: weddings, birthdays, restaurants, nightclubs, corporate events, festivals, engagement parties, bridal showers, theater, grand openings, cultural presentations, and concerts.

Bina is also available to teach private and group classes at your studio or house.

Typical Party 

(20 - 35 minutes) The  bellydance performance is broken into sections of performance and audience participation .Performances are custom tailored for your event . A dramatic entrance  with either veil , wings , zills , to either traditional or contemporary Arabic , Turkish , Greek or Egyptian music . The performance section can last anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes and the remainer of the time is spent getting audience members up to dance and involved in the fun. Bina is a pro at getting everyone out of their chairs, with over a decade of experience in enticing reticent party-goers to get involved. 

Traditional Arabic set

(20 - 35 minutes ) Entrance with veil to traditional arabic music , zills ,  taqsim and drum solo . Followed by audience participation

Bellydancing Duet

Bina and her dance partners will provide you with an exciting performance!  They present a synergy on the dance floor with props and dynamic choreographies. This option is ideal for corporate events, large parties or any event where you really want to “wow” your guests.
